Clarity, judgement and execution in high‑stakes environments

What I Do

I work with leaders navigating complex political‑economic environments, where commercial ambition, institutional incentives and cross‑border dynamics intersect. My work is discreet, senior‑level and designed for organisations that value clarity, judgement and alignment.

Cross-border Strategy

Senior guidance for organisations expanding, investing or repositioning across markets.
I help clients make sense of unfamiliar markets, align their strategy with political and institutional realities, and sharpen the narrative that carries their ambition into senior rooms. This often includes preparing leaders for high‑stakes engagements and ensuring their positioning resonates across borders.

Government Navigation

When operating near policy, regulation or public‑sector stakeholders.
I translate political signals, regulatory incentives and institutional behaviour into practical strategy. My work helps clients engage with credibility, understand the unwritten rules, and build alignment with government‑adjacent stakeholders across the UK, Africa and the Americas.

Stakeholder Orchestration

Designing and managing the relationships that matter — investors, governments, corporates and ecosystem actors.
Cross‑border work requires coordinated relationships — investors, governments, corporates, ecosystem actors. I help clients design and manage these relationships, build momentum, and create the conditions for decisions to move.

Economic‑Development Systems

Advisory support for Freeports, special economic zones and other mission‑driven systems.
I advise on Freeports, special economic zones and other mission‑driven systems. Where needed, I expand the team with specialist operators to package value propositions, strengthen institutional alignment and engage international partners

South–South Corridors & Emerging Markets

I support organisations exploring or expanding into Africa–LATAM corridors, helping them understand the political‑economic logic, institutional incentives and narrative positioning required to operate credibly in these emerging systems

Execution Support

I stay involved beyond the strategy. Where needed, I join meetings, make introductions, and help clients navigate the early stages of execution — ensuring momentum, alignment and clarity as decisions move from concept to reality.

Geographies I Serve

The Americas

My work across the Americas has always been about understanding how political, institutional and commercial incentives interact across a complex hemisphere. I’ve supported leaders navigating cross‑border investment, regulatory dynamics and the realities of operating in environments where political context and commercial ambition are deeply intertwined, from Brazil and Mexico to Colombia, the Caribbean and the United States. In my regional leadership role, much of the work involved helping teams and senior stakeholders interpret shifting priorities, institutional pressures and on‑the‑ground dynamics across the region. This meant translating complexity into clarity for decision‑makers, aligning local realities with broader strategic objectives, and ensuring the Americas network understood the UK’s investment priorities — while also advising UK leadership on the qualitative factors shaping operational performance.Today, I draw on that experience to help clients understand how the Americas’ political‑economic behaviour influences global investment flows, institutional behaviour and emerging South–South opportunities, particularly as Colombia, Brazil and Mexico deepen their engagement with Africa and the wider Global South.

Sub-Sahara Africa

My work across Sub‑Saharan Africa focuses on the political‑economic systems shaping investment, institutional behaviour and emerging South–South corridors. I support leaders navigating environments where regulatory realities, political incentives and commercial ambition intersect, particularly across Ghana and Southern Africa, with growing engagement in West and East African markets.Much of my work involves helping organisations interpret institutional signals, align with government and ecosystem actors, and position themselves within Africa’s evolving investment narrative. This includes understanding how continental priorities, regional blocs and domestic political cycles influence cross‑border decisions and the flow of capital, partnerships and opportunity.Today, I draw on this experience to help clients engage Africa with clarity, whether building new corridors with LATAM, navigating government‑adjacent environments, or shaping narratives that resonate across African institutional and commercial audiences.

United Kingdom

The UK is home, and the centre of gravity for much of my advisory work. I support organisations navigating the UK’s political, regulatory and institutional landscape, helping leaders understand the incentives, constraints and unwritten rules that shape outcomes across government, Parliament, regulators and the broader policy ecosystem. My work often involves translating political‑economic signals into strategic clarity, aligning clients with the right institutional pathways, and shaping the narratives that carry their ambitions into senior rooms. Because the UK remains a gateway to European institutions and networks, this work naturally extends into the wider European context, particularly where regulatory alignment, investment flows or geopolitical considerations intersect with client priorities.Today, I help clients operate with confidence across the UK’s government‑adjacent environment, ensuring their strategies, positioning and engagements are grounded in institutional reality and political context.

How I Work

  • Senior level engagement — no delegation, no junior layers

  • Low volume, high trust model — selective, discreet, relationship driven

  • Clarity and narrative discipline — every engagement produces assets that travel

  • Cross border fluency — commercial, political, and ecosystem lenses combined

  • Outcome oriented — strategy that moves people, not just documents

About Lartey Global Advisory

LGA

Lartey Global Advisory exists for leaders operating in environments where political dynamics, institutional incentives and commercial decisions collide. After two decades working across the UK, Africa and the Americas, in government, investment and advisory roles, I built LGA to offer a senior‑only, judgement‑driven model for clients navigating complexity across borders. My work is grounded in the belief that clarity is a strategic asset. In high‑stakes situations, outcomes are shaped as much by context, timing and narrative as by strategy itself. I help leaders interpret these dynamics, align the people and institutions that matter, and move decisions with confidence. Most clients arrive here through a recommendation or a long‑standing relationship. If we haven’t met yet, the best place to start is a conversation, to understand your context, your ambitions, and whether my approach is the right fit.Charles Lartey
